new Delhi. Rajya Sabha member and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has said that lack of ideological clarity is hurting the party. Singh, once close to Rahul Gandhi, tweeted, “Ideological clarity is more important among junior or senior leaders of Congress. It is the lack of ideological clarity that leads to a vague stance. Why do some fight RSS Shy? Anti-poor, anti-farmer, anti-labor policies are destroying the unity and integrity of India, destroying its socio-economic fabric. ”
The senior Congress leader also said, “Who in the Congress is opposed to Rahul ji or Priyanka ji? Name a senior leader? The entire Congress stands with the Nehru Gandhi family. They are a force to keep.”
The recent debate within the party began when a former Union minister raised the issue at the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting that instead of attacking Modi directly, the party should target his policies. Countering this, former party president Rahul Gandhi said that all policies of the government have been formulated by the Prime Minister. Reportedly Rahul Gandhi said that he is not ‘scared’.
On Thursday, Home Minister Amit Shah said that a leader is prevented from speaking at the CWC meeting. However, the Congress immediately responded that the party believed in a democratic system.
