The process of sending back citizens from Pakistan is going on across the country. Meanwhile, a shocking case has come to light from Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Here a Pakistani woman Shumayla Khan is absconding for three months, against whom a case has been registered for getting a job through fake documents. Three months ago, the Basic Education Department had lodged an FIR against Shumayla Khan in Fatehganj West police station of Bareilly. The police is continuously raiding many places including Bareilly and Rampur in search of her, but she has not been caught yet.
Shumayla Khan was working as an assistant teacher in Primary School Madhopur of Fatehganj West area. During investigation, it was found that she is originally a Pakistani citizen. To get the job, she had got a fake residence certificate made from the SDM office of Rampur and presented it at the time of appointment. The certificate was found to be forged during investigation.
Got the job in 2015
Shumayla Khan was appointed as an assistant teacher in the year 2015. Investigation of the documents given for appointment revealed that she had got a government job on the basis of false documents by hiding the truth of her being a Pakistani citizen.
Residence certificate cancelled, dismissed from job
In the investigation, Tehsildar Sadar, Rampur reported that Shumayla had got the residence certificate made by giving wrong information. After this her certificate was cancelled. The Education Department sought clarification from her several times, but every time the veracity of the certificate was found to be doubtful. As a result, on October 3, 2024, the District Basic Education Officer (BSA) suspended Shumayla Khan and removed her from the post.
Police trying to arrest
SP North Mukesh Chandra Mishra said that continuous efforts are on to arrest Shumayla Khan. A police team has been sent to Rampur and she will be arrested soon.
At the same time, AD Basic Officer in charge Dr. Ajit Kumar said that a case was brought to the notice of the District Basic Education Officer. In this, he had got the teacher investigated. Her records were verified from Rampur. After investigating the whole matter, a case was filed four months ago. The service has been terminated. There is no such person working in the department.
The people living where Shumayla Khan lived have also expressed the suspicion that Shumayla Khan may be a Pakistani spy. When her truth came out, she went missing. She worked in a government job here for 9 years, but no one knew about her. This is surprising.
