Moradabad. In Railway Harthala Colony Azad Nagar, grandson Sahil Sharma alias Sanu killed his aunt Vandana Sharma by smashing her head with a hammer for not providing him an auto. He did not spare even his grandmother Saroj Sharma who came to rescue him and killed her by crushing her head with the same hammer.
Sahil hit his aunt on her head with a hammer while she was sleeping. Then he dragged her by her hair to the veranda. Here, after hitting her on the head, he hit her on the face with the hammer.
After committing the crime, the accused reached his cousin’s house in Bareilly. He informed his brother-in-law about the sequence of events. Brother-in-law was shocked.
Gathering courage, he took the accused to Civil Lines police station and told him the entire incident. Police reached home with the accused and recovered both the bodies on his indication.

Saroj Sharma (90), resident of Railway Harthala Colony Azad Nagar, her husband Omprakash Sharma has passed away. He was a loco pilot in the railway department. He died about 20 years ago. After the death of her husband, his wife Saroj Sharma is getting Rs 35,000. Out of three daughters and one son, Saroj had married her daughters Seema and Sangeeta in Ghaziabad. Son Naresh Kumar Sharma was married to Beena of Moradabad. Third daughter Vandana Sharma (60) was not married. Naresh Kumar and wife Beena died about ten years ago due to illness. Their son Sahil Sharma alias Sonu started living with his grandmother Saroj Sharma and aunt Vandana Sharma. According to the police, Sahil’s mother had a plot in Linepar, which was sold a few days ago. Some money from the plot had come which was with his aunt Vandana Sharma. For many days, Sahil was asking for money from his aunt to buy an auto. He was quarreling every day for not getting the money. On Thursday night, mother and daughter slept in one room while Sahil slept in the other room. On Friday morning at 6 o’clock Sahil woke up and picked up a hammer kept in the house and reached the room of grandmother and aunt. As soon as he went there, he attacked aunt with the hammer. When the hammer hit her face, she shouted. The accused attacked her head several times while she was lying on the bed. She was seriously injured due to this. He dragged aunt by her hair and took her to the verandah. In the verandah also, he attacked aunt’s head and face several times with a hammer. This caused her death. He also attacked the head of grandmother who came to save her with a hammer. This caused her death on the spot. After killing both of them, the accused locked the main door of the house and reached the house of aunt Seema’s daughter Pooja, resident of Ghaziabad, located in Bari Bamnupuri, Bareilly. After going there, he informed his cousin brother Subodh Sharma about the entire incident. Subodh informed his brother-in-law Vishal about the matter by phone. As per the plan, Subodh Sharma left for Moradabad with accused Sahil, whereas Vishal left for Moradabad with other family members.
Both reached Fawwara Chowk. After this, brother-in-law and sister-in-law reached Civil Lines police station with accused Sahil. At that time Inspector Manish Saxena was in the city. When information of the double murder was given to the police, there was a commotion.
CO Kuldeep Kumar Gupta reached the police station. He took information about the incident and informed the higher officials. After this, SSP Satpal Antil, SP City Kumar Ranvijay Singh, CO Kuldeep Kumar Gupta reached with police force. Forensic team arrived. The accused was arrested.
