Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar pronounced the verdict in the case of assaulting and attempting to kill toll workers in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. The judge, while giving a historic verdict, has sentenced the accused to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 50,000 each has also been imposed. Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar said in his order that the government takes toll tax in national interest. Highways are built from it. In such a situation, not paying toll is to weaken the economic condition of the nation. At the same time, there is a stir due to this decision of the court.
In Bareilly, some goons had badly beaten up toll workers at Bhojipura toll plaza on Nainital Highway in 2019. Not only this, the goons had tried to kill the toll worker by running a car over him. The victim employees had lodged a case in Bhojipura police station against Sunny son of Sumit Kumar, resident of Surkha Bankhana of Premnagar, Vinod Maurya son of Rajendra Prasad, Rajat Gangwar son of Pratap Singh, resident of village Hans of Bhojipura and Ankit Bharti, resident of Pragati Nagar of Prem Nagar under several sections of the IPC.
Life imprisonment for the accused
The police arrested the accused and sent them to jail. Today, after hearing the case, Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar sentenced all the accused to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 each. All the accused were sent to jail from the court. All the accused cried in front of the judge and said, please forgive us, our whole life has been ruined. We will never make such a mistake. BJP leader Ankit Bharti is also among the accused.

Which the government spends on development works. People who do not pay toll tax, in a way hinder the comfort of the people and national development and damage the revenue.
