Hyderabad: A woman died and her son was seriously injured in a stampede outside Sandhya Theatre on the night of December 4. To help them, Pushpa 2 has announced to donate 2 crores. The incident took place during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rise, when a crowd had gathered for the show. The woman, identified as Revathi, lost her life in the chaos, while her eight-year-old son was seriously injured and was admitted to the hospital.
The team reached to meet the injured son
Allu Arjun’s father and veteran filmmaker Allu Arvind and the makers of Pushpa 2 visited KIMS hospital, where the injured boy is undergoing treatment. Speaking to the media, Allu Arvind confirmed that the boy’s condition has improved a lot, doctors are hopeful of his complete recovery. Mr Tej, who was earlier on ventilation support, has now been removed from the ventilator and is expected to recover fully soon.
Pushpa 2 team announces to give 2 crores
The financial help of Rs 2 crore includes contributions from Allu Arjun (Rs 1 crore), Pushpa 2 production company Mythri Movie Makers (Rs 50 lakh) and director Sukumar (Rs 50 lakh). Allu Arvind expressed hope for Sri Tej’s recovery and expressed his condolences to the victim’s family. At the same time, he said that due to some legal process, he could not meet Revathi’s family.
Police’s instructions to those who spread rumors
Meanwhile, the police have issued a strict warning against spreading false information on social media about the Sandhya Theater incident. The police found that some misleading videos and rumors are viral on social media claiming that the stampede happened before Allu Arjun came to the theater. The police have clarified that strict legal action will be taken against those posting such false information.
Investigation of the incident is going on, a special team is monitoring the case. It was reported that Allu Arjun was questioned by the police for more than three hours, where he was asked more than 20 questions about the events related to the stampede on Tuesday. Apart from this, the police has already released a video with facts.
