A massive fire broke out on the 7th floor of a residential building named Fortune Enclave located in Bandra West area of Mumbai late on Monday night. 10 fire brigade vehicles controlled the fire after hours of effort. An 80-year-old elderly woman was having trouble breathing due to the fire. She was rescued from the building and admitted to the nearby Baba Hospital. The elderly woman is in the ICU and her condition remains critical.
According to the BMC Fire Department, they received information about the fire on the emergency number around 12:45 pm on Monday night. Firefighters reached the spot with 10 fire tenders and started rescue operations and evacuated the building. Famous singer Shaan’s flat is also on the 11th floor of this building. Shaan and his family were present in their flat located on the 11th floor at the time of the fire. Fortunately, no one died in this incident and no one was injured.
In the initial investigation, fire department officials have said that the possible cause of the fire was a short-circuit. The police is conducting a detailed investigation into the matter. On receiving the information, a team of Mumbai police and firefighters reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire. The fire was successfully extinguished after a few hours. During this time, the people living in the building came out. Singer Shaan was also seen standing outside the apartment with his family. Apart from this, a massive fire broke out in the Kurla Scrap Market located in the Mankhurd area of Mumbai on Monday evening. 30-40 warehouses were completely burnt to ashes in this accident. It is a matter of relief that there were no casualties in this incident. This is not the first incident of fire in the Kurla Scrap Market. Such incidents have happened here many times before.
