Kanpur. Two teachers of a famous coaching institute of the city blackmailed a 17-year-old minor girl preparing for National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) and raped her for seven months. The incident happened last year. At first she kept tolerating everything, later she went home. One of the accused teachers Sahil had recently gone to jail on charges of doing obscene acts with a girl student in the coaching, he got bail.
Victim said- I have become an adult now
The second accused is Vikas Porwal. The rape victim showed courage and filed a case against Sahil and Vikas in Kalyanpur police station on Friday. The victim said that I have become an adult now. I will fight my case myself. She has written in the complaint that her identity should be kept confidential. The family should not be told about the incident. Police should not go to the house. The father is a heart patient and the family will have no option left except suicide.
Both the accused sent to jail
ACP Kalyanpur Abhishek Kumar Pandey said that both the teachers have been sent to jail. According to the victim student, she had come to study in the coaching located in Kakadev. She used to live in a rented room nearby. Sahil Siddiqui used to teach biology and Vikas Porwal used to teach chemistry in the coaching.
In the first week of January, 2023, Sahil called her to his friend’s flat for the New Year party. When she reached there, there were no other students. When she protested, Sahil seduced her and made her drink a cold drink mixed with intoxicants. After this, he raped her and took her obscene photos.
Threatened to make the photos viral
Sahil started blackmailing her by threatening to circulate the photos on the internet media. Kept her hostage in his flat for about six months. After much pleading, he allowed her to go home during Holi and called her again by threatening her. He used to torture her. He also tried to kill her by strangulating her. He used to forcefully make her drink ganja.
Attempted suicide due to frustration
It is alleged that in 2023 itself, after Holi, she talked about having a party at home, where teacher Vikas Porwal came in an intoxicated state. He also raped her several times. Distressed, the student once attempted suicide.
The victim said that when the NEET results came on June 14, she called her mother and said that she did not want to prepare anymore and asked her to take her away from here. On September 29 this year, a video of the accused Sahil doing obscene acts with a student in the washroom of the coaching centre was aired. He was later granted bail.
