Bareilly. On Tuesday evening, a farmer was shot dead by unknown assailants while returning home from the field due to enmity. The family immediately took the injured farmer Pushpendra Gangwar to a private hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. SSP Anurag Arya, SP Mukesh Mishra and other officials reached the spot. They have ordered the police station to take strict action in the case.
Was returning home from the field on bike
45-year-old Pushpendra Gangwar, son of Baburam of Khardah village, had gone to work in the field on Tuesday. At around 4:30 pm, he was returning home on a bike on Bisalpur Road, when two unknown youths fired four rounds at him near Navadiya CNG petrol pump in Bhuta. Pushpendra fell on the road after being shot. The police immediately reached the spot and Pushpendra was taken to Medicity Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
Police action:
Taking the murder case seriously, the Senior Superintendent of Police inspected the spot and questioned the people around. Field unit, SOG and surveillance team have been engaged in the investigation. In the initial investigation of the police, two suspects have been identified, and raids are being conducted to arrest them.
Case of old rivalry:
Police investigation revealed that the deceased Pushpendra and his family had an old rivalry with the family of Puranlal, a history-sheeter of the same village. Pushpendra’s brother was murdered in the year 2021, in which Puranlal’s brother Pawan Kumar went to jail. The deceased Pushpendra was the plaintiff in that case, and the case is pending in the final stage in the court. The police is investigating the case on the basis of this old rivalry.
Five police teams formed
The police have formed five teams, which include SOG, surveillance and local police station. All these teams have been deployed for the speedy arrest of the accused. The police assured security to the victim’s family
