Bahraich: The SP has taken major action in the violence case in Bahraich, UP. 29 head constables and constables have been put on line duty. The SP has put 29 head constables and constables of Hardi and Ram village police stations on line duty and deployed other police personnel in their place.
What is the whole matter?
Violence broke out in Maharajganj of Hardi police station area of the district on October 13. After this, arson and vandalism of vehicles took place on October 14. Action has been taken against the CO, SHO, outpost in-charge and tehsildar regarding the violence.
Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla has now put 29 policemen on line duty. The SP has put 14 police personnel of Hardi police station and 15 police personnel of Ram village police station on line duty and directed them to report to the line. This has created a stir in the police department. In their place, 13 police personnel of the police line have been deployed in Hardi and 16 in Ram village police station.
Ban on bulldozer action
Earlier, it was reported that the hearing in the Bahraich case was held in the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court on Wednesday. During this, the court heard both the parties. After this, the court has ordered both the parties, the government and the victims to present their evidence and documents in the case. The next hearing in the case will be on November 4. Till then the ban on bulldozer action will continue.
Earlier on October 20, while hearing the case, the Allahabad High Court had banned the bulldozer action for 15 days. The 23 houses or shops on which the notice was pasted by the PWD department have been given 15 days to file a reply. The PWD had pasted notices on the houses and shops of 23 people including Abdul Hameed, the main accused of Bahraich violence. The notice was put up by the department to remove encroachment on the government road.
