Lucknow. The people of the state will not have to face power cuts from October 28 to November 15. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to supply electricity 24 hours a day across the state in view of the festivals. In such a situation, the villagers along with the city dwellers will not have to face power cuts for 19 days.
In a state-level meeting on Thursday, the Chief Minister gave instructions to keep the state free from power cuts from Dhanteras, Diwali, Bhaiyadooj, Chhath Puja to Kartik Purnima on November 15. Yogi instructed that on this occasion of joy and enthusiasm, uninterrupted power supply should be ensured to everyone for 24 hours.
Instructed the Power Corporation to make preparations. Earlier, on the occasion of Diwali, the state has been kept free from power cuts only for four-five days, this is the first time that instructions have been given to supply uninterrupted power for 19 days.
It is believed that since this time by-elections are also being held on nine assembly seats in the state along with the festivals, that is why it has been said to keep the state free from power cuts till November 15. It is known that voting will be held on November 13 for the by-election seats.
It is worth mentioning that at present, only the metropolitan, district and divisional headquarters are free from power cuts. The schedule for power supply in tehsil and Nagar Panchayat areas is 21.30 hours, in Bundelkhand area it is 20 hours, while in rural areas it is 18 hours.
However, due to local faults, residents of many areas get electricity for even less time than this. Although the schedule for power cut in villages is only six hours, but due to burning of transformers and breakage of worn out wires, villagers have to face power cuts for much more than this.
Power supply will be disrupted for four hours in Gonda due to wire replacement
The insulator installed on the 33 thousand power line connecting the power substation Aryanagar to Visheshwarganj, the wire got loose, due to which there is a lot of problem in power supply.
Brijesh Kumar, subdivision officer of Aryanagar electricity substation, said that the electricity supply is being stopped from 12 to 4 in the day to replace and repair the wires and cut the branches of trees hanging on the wires. In such a situation, the supply will be disrupted for four hours. As soon as the work is over, people will be provided uninterrupted electricity.
Bad transformer replaced in Hardoi
After the news of the transformer lying broken for 5 days in Jhanjhauli village was published prominently in Dainik Jagran on Wednesday, the officers of the electricity department became active. They got the transformer replaced within 12 hours, due to which light has now reached 95 houses. The transformer was out of order for 5 days in Jhanjhauli village of Bharawan area.
Due to the transformer being out of order, there was darkness in 95 houses. There were many types of problems in front of the villagers and students. After the news was published prominently in Dainik Jagran on Wednesday, the responsible officers of the electricity department have immediately replaced the transformer.
