PAK vs ENG Test Squad: Pakistan has announced the team for the second and third matches of the Test series to be played against England. New players have got a place in the team captained by Shan Masood. Pakistan Cricket Board has given a big blow to Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Sarfaraz Ahmed. PCB has removed these four players from the team. Sarfaraz was not a part of the main team. He was included in the bench strength. PCB announced the team on Sunday afternoon.
PCB has reacted to Babar and Shaheen on its official website. The board wrote, the selectors have decided to rest Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shaheen Afridi. Abrar Ahmed has not yet recovered from the injury. So he was not available for selection. The board gave place to these four players in the team –
PCB has given chance to four new players in place of Babar, Shaheen, Naseem and Sarfaraz. The board said, Hasibullah, Mehran Mumtaz, Kamran Ghulam and fast bowler Mohammad Ali have been given a chance. Along with them, off-spinner Sajit Khan has also got a place in the team. Noman Ali and Zahid Mahmood were part of the main team for the first Test. But both of them have been released.
Babar’s performance in the first Test was very poor –
Babar Azam’s very poor performance was seen in the first Test. He was out after scoring just 30 runs in the first innings. Pakistan scored 566 runs in this innings. Shafiq and Shan Masood scored centuries for the team. Agha Salman also scored a century. After this, Babar flopped in the second Test as well. He was out after scoring 5 runs. Shaheen Afridi was able to take only 1 wicket in the first Test.
