Royal Challengers gave a hint
Royal Challengers Bangalore has posted a photo on its social media platform X, in which Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are seen together inside a TV. This photo is of the ongoing partnership between Kohli and Rahul. The caption of this post reads, “Dear neighbors, do not break your TV after watching Team India’s performance today. Keep calm!” After this post, speculations started that KL Rahul can play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2025.
Why can KL Rahul join Bangalore?
There is speculation about KL Rahul leaving Lucknow Super Giants before IPL 2025. The matter gained momentum when a video went viral in IPL 2024, in which a heated argument was seen between Lucknow owner Sanjiv Goenka and Rahul on some issue. Even though both the parties have publicly denied any differences on this issue, reports of tension between Rahul and the franchise started coming out after this incident.
Apart from this, if KL Rahul leaves Lucknow Super Giants, then Royal Challengers Bangalore will probably be at the forefront to keep him in their team. This is because after IPL 2024, Royal Challengers wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has retired from all formats of cricket. Bangalore would like KL Rahul to strengthen their team as a wicketkeeper-batsman. Let us tell you that KL Rahul made his IPL debut with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the year 2013. After this, in 2016, he again returned to the Bangalore team. Where he played for Royal Challengers till 2017.
