He has become the 27th athlete to bring a medal for the country in Paris Paralympics 2024. 40-year-old Hokato displayed indomitable courage in the Men’s Shot Put F57 event and secured third place in the event with a throw of 14.65 meters. That’s why he decided to join the army.
However, his hopes got a big blow when he was badly injured on LOC during a counter infiltration operation on October 14, 2002 while on his post. Actually, Hokato was caught in a mine explosion. Due to which he had to lose his left leg.
