He took a casual leave of one day before the sentence and went away
Anoop Dubey went to the office on August 13 to do his job. One day he went away after submitting an application for casual leave. On August 14, 2024, the court sentenced four accused including Anoop to life imprisonment in the murder case and sent them to jail. At the same time, when Anoop did not come to the office, the department investigated and then the matter was exposed.

Lakhan Singh Tomar, a resident of Jain Colony, Nainagarh, had lodged a report in Premnagar that his son Devendra Singh alias Deepak Tomar had left home on a bike on May 14, 2023. When he did not return home till May 16, i.e. for two days, the family started looking for him. During the search on May 17, two people told that they had seen Devendra in a van near Babina on May 14. Gaurav Jha, Anoop Dubey, Kapil Sharma and Akash alias Bablu were with him. Anup’s father had arranged for bail
On the basis of evidence, the court sentenced all three to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 32 lakh each and in case of not paying the fine, one year of additional imprisonment and one lakh to the victim’s family. At the same time, Anup Dubey’s father arranged for bail six months after he went to jail.
