New Delhi. Dwayne Bravo, the highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket, has announced his retirement from the Caribbean Premier League. He will retire from the CPL after the current season. 40-year-old Bravo made this announcement a few hours before the opening game of Trinbago Knight Riders against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Basseterre.

Bravo posted on Instagram, “It has been a great journey and I am looking forward to playing my last professional tournament in front of my Caribbean people. TKR is where everything started for me and will end with my team.” Bravo is also the highest wicket-taker in the CPL right now. He has taken 128 wickets in 103 matches at an average of 22.40 and an economy rate of 8.69.

Talking about Dwayne Bravo’s performance in T20 cricket, he has taken 630 wickets in 543 innings of 578 matches at an average of 24.28 and economy of 8.25. 5/23 is his best performance in a match. In this format, he has achieved the feat of taking 5 wickets twice and 4 wickets 11 times.
