A video of a UP government officer has surfaced in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, in which he is seen hitting a person with a head shot, i.e. with his head like a bull. This video is from the time when ADM City Alok Verma along with Varanasi Development Authority and police-administration had come to demolish Hotel Banaras Kothi and River Palace built in the city’s green belt. It is alleged that both the hotels were being run illegally on a commercial basis on a residential map.
During the demolition action, there was an altercation between the hotel owner and ADM City Alok Verma. During this, ADM City lost his temper and hit the hotel owner with a hat shot, due to which the hotel owner got injured. During this, the demolition action of the hotel did not stop and the high voltage drama continued for several hours. Now after this video surfaced, politics has also started.
In fact, orders were issued for the demolition of two hotels. It was said that both the hotels Banaras Kothi and River Palace are in the submerged area in the green belt. Varanasi Development Authority had ordered the demolition of these hotels for illegal construction. In compliance with this, ADM City had come to take action and he lost his temper.

What did the hotel owner say about the whole matter?
Mohd. Farooq Khan, owner of Hotel River Palace and Banaras Kothi, said that the license of our hotel is also passed. The map of one of our hotels was passed in 1999 and the map of the other hotel was passed in 2012. In the year 2014, the green belt was determined, but the map of our building was not passed saying that it is residential. We applied to make the map commercial and today they are coming to demolish our hotel.
Last night, Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) said that no new bookings will be made. Despite the electricity bill and house tax being paid, the electricity was cut off. They said that we are the only Muslims in the hotel trade. That is why this is happening to us and we also organize Bhagwat Katha and Shiv Puran throughout the year.
Khurshid Alam, son of the hotel owner injured by the head shot of ADM City, said that we are Muslims, that is why this is happening to us. There are 756 houses in the submerged area. No one has the courage to demolish them. Action has been taken against us. Our petition has also been filed, but they did not give time. My family lives there and the map of G+2 is approved and is in the entire area. Everyone has the same map, but only my construction is being demolished. Today ADM City beat me up because I only asked ADM City for time to give my family time to leave. Khurshid Alam alleged that the officials from top to bottom in Varanasi Development Authority demand money. Since I did not give money, my hotel is being demolished.
