ATS launched search operation
After the information, ATS started a search operation in the areas. Raids were being conducted at various places. Gorakhpur team of ATS started surveillance and information came to light that two Pakistani persons were about to enter India through an unknown route via Sheikh Farenda, a coastal village on the India-Nepal border. The names of the three are Mohammad Altaf Bhatt, Syed Ghazanfar and Nasir Ali. Of these, Altaf and Syed Ghazanfar are Pakistani citizens, whereas Nasir Ali is a resident of Kashmir.
Terrorist revealed many secrets
The arrested Altaf told during interrogation that after the Kargil war, he had gone to Pakistan with a Hizbul Mujahideen militant for jihad training. He always wanted Kashmir to become a part of Pakistan. After reaching Pakistan, he took Jihadi training in the Muzaffarabad camp of Hizbul Mujahideen under the direction of ISI. Altaf also said that Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, in collaboration with Kashmir-based terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen, is recruiting Indian people with the aim of spreading terrorism in India.
The terrorist was impressed after listening to the speech
Altaf told that he was influenced by Hizbul Mujahideen after reading its literature and listening to the speeches of the rich masters of Jihadi organizations. Altaf trained weapons in the Hizbul camp and stayed in the camp for a long time and worked under the guidance of the commanders there. Altaf had received instructions from HM’s Mujahids to secretly reach Jammu and Kashmir, India via Nepal, where he would be informed about the further plans.
