In the complaint given to the Banda Nagar Kotwali police, Jail Superintendent Viresh Raj Sharma said that on March 29, 2024, at 1.37 am, a call was received from an unknown person on my CUG number. He threatened me and said, “Now I have to hit you, if you can escape, then escape.” Veeraj Raj Sharma told that he made this threat in a 14 second conversation. Before I could say anything, he disconnected the phone.
Mukhtar Ansari died due to cardiac arrest

Mukhtar Ansari’s body buried in Ghazipur
On March 29, the second day after Mukhtar Ansari’s death, his post-mortem was conducted at Banda Medical College in the evening. After post-mortem, the deadbody was handed over to his son Omar Ansari. With tight security arrangements, the deadbody was sent to Mukhtar’s home district Ghazipur. On March 30, he was laid to rest in the Kalibagh cemetery near Mukhtar Ansari’s ancestral home.
