Mahendra Sharma, the architect of the constable recruitment examination in Uttar Pradesh Police, was finally caught by the STF. This fraudster was arrested on Tuesday evening from Pillukheda in Jind district. Here he was hiding in the shop built in the basement of the State Bank near the railway gate. The STF team arrested this fraudster in a case registered at Kankarkheda police station in Meerut and presented him in the court. From where he has been sent to jail for 14 days judicial custody.
A total of 7 fraudsters have been arrested in this case so far. According to STF officials, the Haryana connection has come to light for the first time in the police recruitment examination held on February 18. The accused Mahendra Sharma, caught from Pillukhed, is a resident of Jind district in Haryana. It is alleged that Mahendra himself had got the second shift paper out on 18th February. During police interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had delivered the question paper of the examination held on 18th February to a resort in Gurugram two days earlier on 16th February.

STF has also seized the mobile phone of the accused. Apart from this, question paper and answer sheet have also been recovered on his notice. According to STF officials, Mahendra had reached the resort through Vikram posted in Delhi Police. Then this entire game was carried out from this resort. According to STF officials, a video has also been found in the mobile phone of the accused, in which he is teaching the paper to the candidates.
The answer sheet had arrived on 16th February itself.
The Meerut field unit of STF was investigating the matter ever since the paper of this examination was out. This unit had already arrested 6 people associated with this rigging and sent them to jail. Now the main mastermind has been arrested. During STF interrogation, accused Mahendra Sharma told that he works in the shop of Amandeep, son of Manhga, resident of Pillukheda, Jind. It was here on 15th February that Vikram, who lives in his village and is posted in Delhi Police, met him and took him with him to the Manesar resort in Gurugram.

About 300-400 candidates were already present in this resort. The owner of the resort was also already present there. Vikram held a meeting with everyone and the next day on 16th February he distributed the answer sheets to everyone. There were some other people along with him who were also involved in this incident. Mahendra has told the names and addresses of all those accused to STF. Now the STF team has started searching for these accused.
