Kaushambi. A fire suddenly broke out in a firecracker factory near Kokhraj on Prayagraj Kanpur Highway on Sunday afternoon. There was a loud explosion after the fire in the afternoon. Six people died due to it, while many got burnt. People angry with the incident created a ruckus. The sound of the threat was heard far away.
The team of police, administration and health department is engaged in relief and rescue work on the spot. The death toll may still increase. It is told that the owner of the factory is Kaushal Ali. Other facts including the legality of the factory are also being investigated. The situation in the village is bad after this incident.
Sharafat Ali, resident of Khalilabad, Kaushambi, has a firecracker factory near Kokhraj. Around 12 noon on Sunday, 15 to 20 laborers were working in the factory when suddenly the sound of an explosion started. Fire brigade and police were immediately informed. Efforts are being made to control the fire, Sharafat Ali’s son Shahid and his brother Kausar along with another have been taken out from inside, all of them are in critical condition.
Kaushambi Superintendent of Police Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said, “There has been a fire in a firecracker factory and four people have died in the accident. Some have been injured and have been admitted to the hospital. The rescue operation is going on…”
