It took 26 minutes for the miscreants to uproot an ATM filled with Rs 30 lakh, located 20 steps away from the town’s bus stand. During this time, some of his companions were keeping vigil in the cabin and the rest outside in the car.
In the CCTV footage of the camera installed near the incident spot, a suspect wearing a safi on his face is seen walking for some time near the ATM at 1.30 am on Sunday night. After some time, the Max pickup car of the miscreants passed in front of the ATM four times. The miscreants were taking stock of the place. At 2:32 pm the miscreants had parked their car outside the ATM. Some of his companions lifted the shutter and went into the ATM cabin. They cut the wires of the CCTV camera installed there.
The miscreants had lifted half the shutter. After some time the landlord is seen coming down and making noise. But, after threats from the miscreants, they return. Here, anticipating the arrival of the police, the miscreants take away the vehicle. He returns after a few minutes.
Meanwhile, seeing the lights of a vehicle from Jagner’s side, the miscreants think that it is a police vehicle and take their vehicle away from there. After some time the vehicle leaves, he comes again. By then the friends present inside had opened the ATM from the basement. The miscreants load the ATM into the vehicle and run away at 2:58. Villagers said, the police station vehicle is broken
When the officials arrived, the villagers said that the official vehicle of the police station was broken. Due to this also the police do not patrol. The villagers said that there were not enough policemen in the police station. A complaint was also made about guards not being deployed at the ATM at night. Officials said that another vehicle was available at the police station. Villagers Achal Rawat, Hariom, Pradeep Singh, Manmohan, Vijayveer etc. have demanded the Police Commissioner to send adequate force and vehicles to the police station.
