A new controversy arose last night (21 October) in the World Cup 2023. In the Pakistan vs Australia match played in Bengaluru, Pakistan fans were stopped from cheering their team. Here the police clearly instructed the Pakistani fans that slogans of Pakistan Zindabad will not be raised in the stadium. There was not only an uproar in the stadium regarding this, but now there is an uproar on social media as well.
A video is going viral on social media. In this, a security officer is asking Pak fans not to raise slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. In response to this, the fan is also seen arguing that he is from Pakistan and if he does not raise Pakistan’s slogans then who will? The fan is also heard saying that the match between Australia and Pakistan is going on in the stadium and people are raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, so why can’t he raise slogans of Pakistan Zindabad. On this the policeman also said that slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai can be raised, but not Pakistan Zindabad.
‘It is wrong to stop Pak fans’
As soon as this video surfaced on social media, Pakistani cricket fans are very angry. Fans say that Pakistani fans in India are not able to cheer their own team. Some Indian cricket fans are also not saying that this attitude of the police is right. In fact, every spectator in sports grounds has the right to boost the morale of his team. In such a situation, this video that surfaced from Bengaluru can definitely become a cause of big controversy.
Mickey Arthur has also made this allegation
Earlier, Pakistan team director Mickey Arthur had also alleged that the World Cup being held in India has become not an ICC event but a BCCI event. He had also said that neither Pakistani music is played in the stadium nor are many Pakistani fans getting visas to come to India.
