Police have arrested two vicious criminals in an encounter in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Giving this information, Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma said that a joint team of SOG, Sikrara, Mirganj and Machhilishahr had an encounter with two miscreants late Saturday night in Kaurahan village of Machhilishahr police station area, in which one miscreant was injured by bullet. And the police surrounded and tightened the noose on the other one. The injured criminal has been sent to the district hospital for treatment. Two pistols, two shells, one live cartridge, one motorcycle, three mobile phones and Rs 9,960 of loot have been recovered from the arrested criminals.
Two miscreants arrested in encounter
He told that the police team was investigating near Kauraha of Machhilshahar police station area, meanwhile two miscreants were coming from Baraipar on a bike. When the police tried to stop them, both of them started running away. While running away, the miscreants fired, one bullet hit the bullet proof jacket of Machhilishahr police station incharge Yuzvendra Singh. The police also retaliated. In the encounter, criminal Ajay Nishad alias Justice, resident of Jogiapur Kotwali, Jaunpur, was shot in his leg and fell down after getting injured. In this situation he was arrested.
The arrested criminal has a long criminal history
The second criminal, Salim alias Pokai, resident of Navghat police station, Zafarabad, Jaunpur, who was running away from the spot, was also caught by the police. Just yesterday, 18 criminal cases were registered against him at various places. Police recovered bike, pistol and shell from the spot. CO Atar Singh said that a miscreant was shot in the leg in the encounter. The second accused was also arrested. According to police records, the arrested criminal has a long criminal history. There are about 20 cases registered against the Justice.
