New Delhi. India-A (IND-A) defeated Bangladesh-A (BAN-A) by 51 runs in the second semi-final match of the Emerging Asia Cup 2023 held in Sri Lanka. Batting first, India scored 211 runs thanks to the half-century innings of captain Yash Dhull (66). Chasing the target, the entire Bangladesh team collapsed by scoring 160 runs in 34.2 overs. Nishant Sindhu took 5 wickets.
Bangladesh-A won the toss and decided to bowl first. Centurion of the last match Sai Sudarshan was dismissed after scoring 21 runs. Abhishek Sharma scored 34 runs. Nikin Das also could not do anything special and returned to the pavilion after scoring 17 runs. After this Captain Yash Dhul took charge. Yash played an inning of 66 off 85 balls to take the team’s score past 200.
Nishant Sindhu took five wickets
In the end, Manav Suthar scored 21 runs and RS Hungergekar scored 15 runs. Mahedi Hasan, Tanzeem Hasan Shakib and Rakibul Hasan got two wickets each. Ripon Mondol, Saif Hasan and Soumya Sarkar got one wicket each.
Pakistan will compete in the final
Chasing the target, Bangladesh got off to a brisk start. Mohammad Naeem (38) and Tanzeed Hasan (51) added 70 runs for the first wicket. As soon as the shine of the ball started to fade, the Indian spinners made a comeback in the match. Bangladesh batsmen could not last long in front of the magic bowling of left-arm spinners Suthar and Nishant Sindhu.
