While ‘Adipurush’ was surrounded by controversies before its release, now its difficulties have increased even more after its release. Tampering with the story of Ramayana in the film and the level of dialogues has hurt the sentiments of the audience, after which the Hindu Sena has now filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court against ‘Adipurush’.
In this petition, the Hindu Sena has demanded a ban on the public exhibition of ‘Adipurush’. National President of Hindu Sena Vishnu Gupta said that he has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against Adipurush in the Delhi High Court.
Demand for ban on public exhibition of ‘Adipurush’
The writ petition filed against ‘Adipurush’ states that it is a public interest litigation under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Under this, religious leaders/characters/figures will have to be shown wrongly and objectionable scenes will have to be removed and the feature film will not have to be certified for public screening.
Allegations of hurting religious sentiments
Explain that in the petition ‘Adipurush’ has been accused of misrepresenting religious leaders, characters and figures in the film, which has hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community. The way Hindu religious characters have been told in the Ramayana written by writers like Maharishi Valmiki, the wrong scenes have been shown in the film.
Mixed response of the audience to the film
Please tell that Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ is a film based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. Prabhas is seen in the role of ‘Lord Ram’, Kriti Sanon as ‘Sita’ and Sunny Singh as ‘Laxman’ in the film. At the same time, Saif Ali Khan has played the role of ‘Ravana’. The film was surrounded by controversies since its trailer release, after which the makers had to make a lot of changes. Now the film has been released, after watching which the audience is giving mixed reactions to it.
