A 16-year-old boy studying in Class X was allegedly stabbed to death in a village in Shamli district over a love affair. His body has been recovered from the sugarcane field. The police gave this information on Thursday. The incident took place on Wednesday evening in Makhmulpur village of Kandhla police station area.
Shamli Superintendent of Police Abhishek said that the police have registered a case against three friends of the deceased Gurmeet, two of whom are minors. The police have also recovered the knife used in the incident.
Gurmeet had a love affair with the accused’s sister
During interrogation, one of the accused Saurabh told the police that Gurmeet was having an affair with the sister of one of the accused and they were against it. He said that the three friends, including Saurabh, called Gurmeet to play and killed him by stabbing him and dumped the body in the sugarcane field. The Superintendent of Police said that the incident came to light after the body was found. The police have taken all the three accused into custody.
