Ghazipur: The MP MLA court of Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh has sentenced Mukhtar Ansari to ten years in the Gangster Act against the notorious mafia don Mukhtar Ansari. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of five lakh rupees on him. This case is related to the murder of the then BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai in the year 2005. This incident was carried out at Basaniya Chatti of Mohammadabad police station area. It is being told that Mukhtar Ansari’s gang had used AK-47 for the first time in this incident.
In this incident, Krishnanand Rai was surrounded and fired upon from all sides. In this, the whole body of the MLA was riddled. In this case, seven people including MLA Krishnanand Rai died on the spot. All these people were returning to their homes after participating in some program. In this case, the police of Mohammadabad police station had registered a case against mafia don Mukhtar Ansari, his brother and BSP MP Afzal Ansari and others.
In this matter, the hearing was completed in Ghazipur’s MP MLA court about a month ago on April 1 itself. After hearing the prosecution and the defence, the court fixed the date of April 29 for conviction against the accused. According to the case diary, today after the debate on conviction in this case, the court can announce its decision and punishment against the accused if found guilty.
Gangster case was registered in the year 2007
Let us tell you that before the murder of MLA Krishnanand Rai, Ansari brothers are also accused of carrying out the 1996 coal businessman Nandkishore Rungta kidnapping of Chandauli. Adding these two cases, Ghazipur police had made a gang chart of these two miscreants while registering a gangster case in the year 2007. Although Afzal Ansari is hopeful that he will be proved innocent in the court.
Afzal has hope of survival
He says that the case on the basis of which a case was registered against him in the Gangster Act, in that case he has already been acquitted by the MP MLA court of Delhi. He said that the inspector who filed a gangster case against him in 2007, himself said in the court that he was posted in Ghazipur for two and a half years, but no one ever complained about Afzal. According to Afzal, only media trial is going on against him. Told that he has completed 70 years of age. He is sick, his kidney is bad. He was admitted in Medanta for several weeks, but now only God can do justice to him.
