Lucknow. The name of retired IAS officer Arvind Kumar has also been added to the advisors of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Arvind Kumar has been made Industrial Advisor to the Chief Minister. The reason for his getting this important responsibility is being attributed to the spectacular organization of the Global Investors Summit (UPGIS-23) and the record investment proposals of Rs 33.52 lakh crore.
Arvind retired from the responsibility of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC) and Additional Chief Secretary Industrial Development on February 28 last month. He has been a 1988 batch IAS of UP cadre. Additional Chief Secretary Appointment and Personnel Dr. Devesh Chaturvedi issued an order related to the appointment of Arvind Kumar on Wednesday.
It has been clarified in the order that for speedy infrastructure and industrial development of the state, Arvind Kumar has been posted as Advisor (Industrial Sector), Chief Minister, to give advice to the Chief Minister in the industrial sector. This post has been created for the deployment of Arvind Kumar till 29 February 2024.
This important responsibility assigned to Arvind is being linked to the huge investment proposals received in UPGIS-23. The large scale investors have signed MoUs, getting them off the ground is no less than a challenge. Arvind’s experience will come in handy to deal with these challenges.
In the form of IIDC, he has had direct interaction with investors from India and abroad. The chief minister’s advisors include GN Singh, Avnish Kumar Awasthi, KV Raju, DP Singh, Mrityunjay Kumar, and Dr. Rahis Singh.
