Mafia Atiq Ahmed, the main accused of plotting the Umesh Pal murder case, may be lodged in Sabarmati Jail, but the administration is engaged in demolishing the forts built with the earnings of his black exploits. A search operation was also conducted at the office of Mafia Atiq in Tehsil Chakia of Chandauli district. During this, many suspicious things were recovered from the said office.
Mafia Atiq Ahmed had an office in Karbala, Chakia, where his henchmen used to visit frequently. This office was also built with the black money of the mafia, which was demolished two years ago by running a bulldozer, in which two rooms were left. These two rooms were searched by the police, in which a large quantity of illegal weapons were found.
It was told that the police have detained two people from the spot, whom the police took with them. Weapons and cash have been recovered on the information of these two accused, in which 10 pistols, all cartridges and cash around 80 lakhs were recovered.
House-to-house search was done for 3 days
During the action, station in-charge Dhumanganj Rajesh Maurya reached the spot with the police force. There was information that someone was hiding inside. The police force gathered in search of the person. SOG in-charge Vinod Yadav also searched with search light. Earlier, after the Umesh Pal murder case, the police and SOG had searched every house in Atiq Ahmed’s locality Chakia for 3 days.
