A massive fire broke out in the basement of a three-storey complex in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow on Tuesday evening. The flames engulfed the entire complex in no time. In order to save their lives, people hurriedly jumped from the roof of the third floor to the roof of the nearby petrol pump. Around 20 people were trapped inside the complex. The police, who reached the information, with the help of fire personnel, controlled the fire after an hour’s struggle. At the same time, the manager of the battery charging shop was burnt to death in the accident.
The matter is of Badshah Nagar area. A short circuit occurred in the battery charging shop in the basement of the three-storey SS complex located here at around 5.30 pm. The fire took a huge form in no time. All the employees working in the shop ran out, but the manager of the shop Ashwini got trapped inside. Seeing the balloon of smoke, there was chaos in the nearby area. At the same time, about 20 people, including bank personnel, were trapped in the Olympia gym built on the third floor of the complex and on the ground floor. The fire brigade reached the spot in a hurry. On the one hand, the efforts to control the fire started, on the other hand, the people trapped in the complex started trying to save their lives by hanging on the roof of the petrol pump located in the neighborhood.
The injured were taken to the hospital, one died
At the same time, after an hour’s hard work, the fire could be controlled. In a hurry, the fire brigade personnel started the rescue operation in the complex. The injured people trapped inside were admitted to the hospital. At the same time, Ashwini, the manager of the shop trapped in the basement, was found unconscious. He was hurriedly rushed to Lohia Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Ashwini, the manager of the battery charging shop, died in the incident.
At the same time, DM Suryapal Gangwar told that the battery work was going on in a room, in which there was a fire. The fire has been brought under control. A person who was working in a battery shop died during treatment. All the other people have been rescued. The cause of the fire will be investigated.
