Police has got a big success in Ghazipur of Uttar Pradesh. The police has busted a gang that printed fake currency and used it in the market. Suresh Rajat, the mastermind of this gang, escaped with his accomplice, but half a dozen vicious smugglers have been arrested by the police.
Police has recovered 369 notes of Rs 500, 01 of Rs 200 and 261 notes of Rs 100 from these accused, whose total value is Rs 210800. The police have also seized the printer for making fake notes, the paper used to make fake notes and the bright green strip pasted on a note and 03 other things.
SP Ghazipur Omveer Singh gave this information regarding the 6 interstate fake currency note smugglers arrested along with recovered fake notes and similar. He told that this major recovery has taken place in the joint action of the local Kotwali police and SWAT team.
SP Ghazipur told that these vicious criminals, who were harming the country’s economy, were on the police’s radar for the last several days and due to their long network, the police was probing them.
He said that on Saturday he was arrested red-handed by the Ghazipur police with fake notes. Police arrested Vikas, Sanjay Kumar Dubey alias Pappu, Amar Jyoti Maurya alias Chhotu, Ferozshah, Neeraj Singh and Santosh Yadav alias Bablu on charges of smuggling and making fake currency notes. All these accused are residents of different areas of Ghazipur district.
However, Suresh Rajat, the leader of the fake note gang, absconded with one of his accomplices, for which the police is raiding possible targets. The SP told that the notes are just like the real ones and by taking advantage of this, these people used to cheat the innocent people.
