Varanasi. A shocking incident has come to light in Varanasi district. Mother, son and daughter were brutally murdered here. His dead body was lying in the house for many days. Police reached on the information of the neighbors and found the dead bodies of all three from different places. A piece of blood stained bamboo and sickle were lying on the spot. The woman’s son-in-law is absconding since the incident. The elder son of the woman has filed a nominated case against two people including son-in-law.
Neighbors gave information on suspicion
On the other hand, the police have arrested one of the accused Manoj Mishra alias Algu in this case. Rani Devi (55 years) was living with her son Mohan Gupta (24 years) and married daughter Pooja Gupta (28 years) near Milkipur Chatti under Jakkhini police post of Rajatalab police station area. She used to live with the income from the grocery shop in the house itself. Since Tuesday, no member of the house was visible nor was the door of the house opening. The people around got suspicious. He gave the information to Paniyara Pradhan. On information, the police entered the house by breaking the door and found the bloody bodies of the queen and her son and daughter. Additional Police Commissioner Santosh Singh, DCP Gomti Zone Vikrant Veer inspected the spot. Dog squad, forensic experts investigated on the spot.
there was a struggle before death
Seeing the condition of the incident site, it could be inferred that all three fought with the assailants. Rani Devi’s dead body was lying in the corridor of the three-room house on Labe Road. He was hit on the head with a bamboo and on the neck with a sickle. There was peas in the hand and there were peas near the dead body as well. It is being speculated that the murder took place while peeling peas. The dead body of son Mohan was lying nearby. He too was hit on the head and neck. The furnishings of the room were scattered, there was also a broken cover of the plastic chair. The dead body of daughter Pooja was lying in the courtyard. The bricks kept there had fallen. The broken chair was lying there. Sickles and bamboo pieces were also used to kill him. The police found a blood-stained sickle in the corridor and a piece of bamboo in the courtyard. It is feared that the killers might have killed Rani first, then Mohan and then Pooja.
killers from front and back
There cannot be one person who kills three people. The police suspect that there may have been more than one killer. He must have come via the front on Monday evening. The people of the house were well acquainted with him. Preparations were going on for cooking at home. After killing Rani, Mohan and Pooja one after the other with a piece of bamboo and sickle, the killers escaped by scaling the boundary wall behind the house. The queen’s house has three rooms and two shops in the front half. The back side is empty. There are fields far behind the house, through which the murderers must have fled. The sniffer dog also stopped behind the house after going through the field to the nearby road.
Husband lives separately for six years
Rani’s husband Bhola Gupta, along with elder son Deepak, his wife and children lives in the ancestral house in Paniyara village. He buys and sells junk by hawking. Deepak looks like a vegetable shop. Bhola alleges that his wife had an illicit relationship with a man from the village itself. Six years ago, he along with younger son, daughter and son-in-law beat him and elder son Deepak and threw them out of the house. By intimidation, he got the house near Milkipur Chatti registered in his name. Two and a half lakh rupees were also withdrawn from his bank account.
Police suspects son-in-law
Police suspect Pooja’s husband Arvind Gupta, a resident of Khalilpur of Rohania police station area, in the triple murder case. Both have two sons and a daughter. Due to a family dispute, Arvind had left Pooja along with the children at her mother Rani’s house eight months back. A few months back, he took his five year old son and two and a half year old daughter along with him. Came on last Monday and took one and a half year old son along with him. He is absconding since the incident. His mobile is also telling off. The police found his last location late on Monday night in a market a few kilometers away from the spot.
Police investigating on many angles
Rani’s son-in-law Arvind is more suspicious of the police in the murder case. There was a dispute going on with his wife Pooja. Along with this, the police is also probing the angle of Rani’s illegal relation and property, the property which was registered in her name by Rani, is currently being told about 50 lakh rupees. Rani’s elder son Deepak has given a complaint against Pooja’s husband Arvind and Manoj Mishra of the village, expressing the fear of murder.
