Gorakhpur. A shocking case has come to light in Gorakhpur district. After marriage, the young man got a police job, then the in-laws started torturing the married woman by demanding a Bolero. Fed up with the fight and dispute, the married woman filed a complaint against her husband, brother-in-law and father-in-law for assault and dowry harassment. After registering a case on the complaint of the victim, Gida police station is probing the matter.
The youth of Gorakhpur is married to the girl of Santakbir Nagar
Neelu Upadhyay, daughter of Sati Shankar Upadhyay, resident of Jairam Patti, Mahuli police station area of Santakbir Nagar district, got married in the year 2010 to Surendra Ojha, a resident of Jagdishpur, Gida. Neelu has alleged in the Tahrir given to the police that her father had fulfilled the demands of the in-laws at the time of marriage. It is alleged that after marriage her husband got a police job. After this husband and in-laws started demanding Bolero car. When it was not completed, they started harassing him. Whenever the husband would come home from work, they used to beat him with the car.

When there was an agreement on March 26, 2022, the married woman came back to her in-laws house. After this, the husband and in-laws again started harassing her for the demand of the vehicle. Station in-charge Rakesh Singh Yadav said that the victim’s Tahrir is being investigated by registering a case against husband Surendra Ojha, father-in-law Ram Sanware and brother-in-law Jitendra Ojha.
Father assaulted and daughter filed a case for dowry harassment
Vidyashankar Pandey, resident of Gauri Bazar police station area of Deoria district, and his married daughter Pooja Pandey have filed two separate complaints for assault and dowry harassment at Barhalganj police station. On Wednesday, the police is investigating the case by registering a case on the basis of Tahrir of both. On the other hand, after the registration of the case, all the accused are absconding.
