Varanasi: On Saturday, the last day of the year 2022, devotees from every corner of the country came to visit Baba Shrikashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. There was an influx of devotees in the temple since morning. In the morning after Mangala Aarti, when the gate was opened for the common visitors, their crowd gathered. Arrangements were ensured by the temple administration by putting up barriers.
All types of tickets will be closed
From morning till Shayan Aarti, more than two lakh devotees worshiped Baba. Sunil Kumar Verma, Chief Executive Officer of Srikashi Vishwanath Temple, told that all types of tickets have been closed in view of the crowd on Sunday. At the same time, the protocol will also be restricted. Mobile and electronic gadgets were banned from any gate in the temple premises as before, the entrance through which they were entering was made through the same exit.

Barricading has been done all around by the temple administration. Visitors coming from Maidagin are going to Mandir Chowk via Chatta Gate. After this, going to the northern gate of the sanctum sanctorum, darshan is worshipped. Visitors coming from the Ganga side are offering water to Baba at the eastern gate of the temple. Visitors coming from the Saraswati Gate are offering water to Baba at the southern gate of the sanctum sanctorum and those coming from the Dhundhiraj entrance from the western gate of the sanctum sanctorum. Public announcement system and lost-found center have been set up. Ambulance and medical department team is also stationed near the temple for any emergency.
Magistrate will handle the responsibility of Baba Darshan
The administration has made special arrangements to keep an eye on the crowd coming to Srikashi Vishwanath Dham on New Year. A total of 26 sector magistrates will be posted in the entire region. ADM level officers have been given the responsibility to keep an eye on the whole area by dividing it into four zones as super zonal magistrates. Along with this, 13 zonal magistrates will also be posted from Garbh Griha to Godaulia, Bansfatak and Maidagin. In the last new year 2022, the administration is especially alert in view of about seven lakh visitors who came in two days.
