Bareilly: A case has come to light of the District Jail Superintendent threatening to shoot the jail warden by calling his CUG number. The caller has described himself as the brother of jailed prisoner Honey Singh Yadav. Many cases including murder, gangster are registered against Honey Singh. Both the brothers of Honey Singh also have a long criminal history.
On the other hand, on the basis of the complaint letter of jailer Rajeev Kumar Mishra, Bithri Chainpur police has registered a case against Honey Singh’s brother under the section of indecency and threats. After this, the Bithri police arrested Ankit Yadav, the brother of the caller, Honey Singh. During interrogation, he has accepted the involvement of his brother Deepu and another brother of the family, Rohit, after which he was sent to jail, while the police is on the lookout for the other two. On behalf of Jailor Rajeev Mishra of District Jail In the written FIR, it was told that at around 8.40 pm on Wednesday night, a person called on the CUG number of Senior Superintendent of Jail, Rajeev Shukla. He described himself as the brother of Honey Singh Yadav, a detainee in jail. The accused used indecency on the matter of putting Honey in the high security barrack and threatened to shoot the jail warden Bhuri Singh.
Police became active on getting information
It is alleged that earlier at around 7.53 pm, the accused had also called on his personal mobile number from another number and asked for the address of Jail Warden Bhuri Singh. The jailer expressed apprehension that the accused may cause any untoward incident. Bithri police became active as soon as the information about the threat was received. Honey Singh Yadav is a resident of Biharipur Dhal.
Therefore, the Bithri police immediately contacted the Kotwali police. Kotwali police picked up Honey’s brother Ankit Yadav alias Sumit. According to the Bithri police, the phone numbers made from two different numbers turned out to be of Deepu and Rohit. After this, during interrogation, accused Ankit accepted the involvement of all three in the incident. A pistol was also recovered from the accused Ankit.
Rampur Jail was transferred on administrative grounds
Jailor Rajeev Mishra told that Honey Singh Yadav was transferred to Rampur Jail on administrative grounds some time back but, on the orders of ADJ I, he was stopped here. Due to indiscipline, the jail administration has kept him in the high security barrack. He is in jail for the last six years. According to Bithri Chainpur police, he has several FIRs including murder, attempt to murder, gangster, cheating.
More than 24 FIRs against one
Honey Singh Yadav has two brothers Ankit Yadav alias Sumit and Deepu. Both also have long criminal history. According to the Bithri police, there are more than 24 FIRs against one including murder, attempt to murder, gangster. The Kotwali police has also opened his history sheet, while there are about five FIRs against the other brother.
District Jail Senior Jail Superintendent Rajeev Shukla said that the person who made the threat described himself as the brother of prisoner Honey Singh Yadav. An FIR was lodged in Bithri police station in the matter. In the investigation of the police, the involvement of the brothers of the accused has come to the fore, out of which the police have sent one to jail.
