The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has come into full action to get its star player Rishabh Pant fixed as soon as possible. Rishabh Pant, who was a victim of a horrific road accident in Roorkee on the morning of Friday 30 December, is currently undergoing treatment in Dehradun. Fortunately, Pant has not suffered major injuries and there is no threat to his life or career. Nevertheless, the BCCI has now completely taken over the reins of his treatment and he will soon be shifted to Mumbai, from where he can be sent abroad if needed.
Most of Pant’s injury is being treated at Max Hospital, in which plastic surgery has been done for facial and back wounds, while MRI of brain and spine has also been done, which has been absolutely normal. However, the matter of concern for Pant is his knee ligament, which has been torn and this injury seems to be proving to be the biggest obstacle in his early return to the field. This is the reason that BCCI itself has come on the front.
BCCI doctors will examine
According to a report, the BCCI medical team will now treat Pant’s ligament injury. Since Pant’s accident, BCCI doctors are in touch with the doctors of Max Hospital in Dehradun and are taking information about his treatment. Now the BCCI has told the hospital in Dehradun that only the doctors of BCCI will take full responsibility for the treatment of the ligament.
For this, Pant will be discharged from Dehradun hospital in a few days and then he will be shifted to Mumbai. The BCCI doctors in Mumbai will check the condition of the ligament injury and see the grade of the injury.
After this it will be decided whether Pant needs to be sent abroad for his treatment or not. Rishabh Pant is not only the star of Indian cricket, but also a centrally contracted player of BCCI. In such a situation, his entire responsibility lies on the board.
When will Pant return?
However, it is not clear how long it will take for Rishabh Pant to recover from this injury and how long he will be able to return. It all depends on the severity of the injury and its treatment. In such a situation, the fans of the Indian team, Rishabh Pant and Team India will only hope that he gets well as soon as possible and be available for the India-Australia Test series starting on 9 February. However, at the moment its chances are less.
