A painful accident took place late on Tuesday night in Shahpur village of Mau district of Uttar Pradesh. Five people of the same family were burnt to death due to fire in the house. It is being told that the fire that broke out from the spark of the stove engulfed the whole house. In no time, there was hue and cry in the whole village. People informed the police and fire brigade about this. On getting the information, the fire brigade team reached the spot and extinguished the fire and entered inside the house. The team found five bodies lying inside the house.
An ambulance was called on the spot and the dead bodies were sent for postmortem. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, DM and SP along with the police force reached the spot. DM Mau Arun Kumar told that information was received from Shahpur village of Kopaganj police station area that a house has caught fire. Five people of the same family were burnt to death due to the fire. Among the dead are 5 family members including a woman, a man and three minors.

DM Mau Arun Kumar told that the fire brigade, police and ambulance had reached the spot as soon as the information about the incident was received. Preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was caused by the stove. At present, the dead bodies have been sent for postmortem. An amount of four lakh per person will be given to the victim’s family.
Tell me, Gudiya (32), a resident of Shahpur village, was married to Ramashankar Rajbhar of Dohri Ghat. Gudiya had children Abhishek (12), Dinesh (10) and Anjesh (6). After a dispute with husband Ramashankar, Gudiya used to live in her maternal home Shahpur for five years. Along with Gudiya was her sister Shiv Kumari’s daughter Chandni (14).

At nine o’clock on Tuesday night, Gudiya and the four children went to sleep after having dinner. Suddenly the hut caught fire at around 9.30 pm. Being in sleep no one could come out of the hut. All five died on the spot due to the fire. Superintendent of Police Avinash Pandey told that all five bodies have been recovered. Police is investigating the case.
