Sardhana: Police had an encounter with cattle smugglers in Begumabad forest on Monday, in which three cattle smugglers were injured. At the same time, others escaped by taking advantage of the fog. During this, the police recovered knives, gunny bags and pistols from the accused.
Inspector Jitendra Kumar Singh told that on Monday morning he reached the forest of Begumabad on the information of the informer. At that time Gotaskar was waiting to execute the Gokushi incident, when he saw the police and started firing on them. In retaliatory action, three cattle smugglers were shot. Simultaneously, others escaped by taking advantage of the fog. The inspector said that the accused Asif, a resident of Khirwa Jalalpur, Najar alias Nazar, a resident of Teharki, and Aas Mohammad, a resident of Police Station Lisadi Gate, Summer Garden, were shot in the right leg. All three were admitted to the CHC, from where they were referred to the district hospital.
Criminal history of the accused is being investigated
Inspector Jitendra Kumar Singh said that the criminal history of the three cattle smugglers is being probed. Along with this, the police are raiding places in search of the absconding accused.
