Varanasi. Bijnor’s vicious criminal Munir, who had links with terrorist organizations, died on Monday at Sir Sundarlal Hospital of BHU, Varanasi.
Munir Ahmed, who killed NIA Deputy SP Tanzil Ahmed and his wife in Bijnor in 2016, was lodged in Sonbhadra District Jail. Where he was admitted to Varanasi due to ill health. Munir, who was lodged in Sonbhadra Jail for the last five years, had neuro-related problems along with urinary tract infection.
Court of Bijnor had sentenced to death
About five months ago, Munir of Sahaspur in Bijnor was sentenced to death by the Bijnor court for the murder of Tanzil Ahmed and his wife. He was lodged in Sonbhadra District Jail. He was admitted from Sonbhadra to BHU hospital after his health deteriorated on Thursday night. Munir Ahmed had killed NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed and his wife in Bijnor in the year 2016. Munir was sentenced to death by the Additional District Sessions Judge of Bijnor after holding him guilty of the murder of NIA DSP Tanzil Ahmed and his wife Farzana.

The terrorist connections of gangster Munir Ahmed of western Uttar Pradesh had also come to the fore. He had 41 cases registered against him including murder and robbery. Munir and his accomplice had stopped the car and fired indiscriminately. NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed died on the spot. His wife Farzana died during treatment at a hospital in Moradabad. Both the children saved their lives by entering under the seat.
Munir was on the target of police of many states
On March 28, 2016, gangster Munir Ahmed had looted Rs 91 lakh from outside the Punjab National Bank in Dhampur. After Munir’s name cropped up in Tanzil’s murder, he came under target of the police of several states. A few days later he was arrested in Delhi. Apart from this, many incidents including Delhi, Aligarh and Lucknow were executed on him. He also looted the pistol after killing the constable. There were 41 cases registered against him in many states. He was brought to court under tight security.
On May 21, the court pronounced the death sentence
Munir was sentenced to death on May 21 for the murder of Tanzil Ahmed and his wife Farzana. The ADJ Special Court had sentenced Munir and his accomplice Rehan to death. He was also punished in gangster.
