Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the month-long Kashi-Tamil Sangamam on Saturday from Mahamana Ki Bagiya Kashi Hindu University’s amphitheater complex. Like the nine gems of Tamil Nadu along with the people of Kashi who witnessed the union of North and South cultures in the city of Mahadev, nine Shaiva Dharmacharyas (Adheenam), 216 students from various colleges and universities in the South, well-known artists and distinguished people will be present in this program. Its preparation has been completed. Kashi has spread its eyelids to welcome.
The Prime Minister’s plane will land at Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport, Babatpur at around 1.30 pm. After this PM will come to BHU helipad by state helicopter. After this the amphitheater will come by car. The Prime Minister and the guests coming from Tamil will be welcomed by Nadaswaram. The Prime Minister will be at the venue for about two and a half hours. After the welcome address, the Prime Minister will release Tirukkural, a religious book written in Tamil language and books on Kasi-Tamil culture. After this, he will interact with 210 students from Tamil Nadu.
Artistes from South India including Tamil Nadu will present three programmes. There will also be a presentation of music and cultural program by renowned musician Ilaiyaraaja. In the end the Prime Minister will address. After this, the Prime Minister will come to Babatpur airport from BHU helipad and will leave from here around 4.30 pm.
Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, Governor Anandiben Patel, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan, National President of Tamil Nadu Mahila Morcha Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP State President K Annamalai, including many central dignitaries participated in this program. Ministers of Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh will be present in the programme.
For the security of the Prime Minister, 44 magistrates have been appointed from the airport to BHU. Police force has been deployed at every point. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma and other top officers personally reviewed the preparations on the eve of the programme.
