New Delhi. South superstar Mahesh Babu’s father Krishna Ghattamaneni said goodbye to this world on Tuesday morning (November 15). He breathed his last at 4 am on Tuesday in a private hospital in Hyderabad. Krishna Ghattamaneni was admitted to the hospital due to cardiac arrest.
Mahesh Babu’s father Krishna was a well-known Telugu actor. He was also known as Superstar Krishna in the industry. There has been a wave of mourning in the Telugu film industry on his death. Film trade analyst Ramesh Bala has expressed grief over his demise. He tweeted about this and told that Krishna Ghattamaneni breathed his last at the age of 79 in Hyderabad due to cardiac arrest.
Worked in more than 350 films
Late Krishna Ghattamaneni acted in more than 350 films and was one of the top actors of his time. Along with this, he was also considered a veteran producer-director. He won the hearts of people by his work. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan Award in 2009 for his contribution to Indian cinema. Earlier in 1997, he was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. Apart from being an actor, producer and director, he was also a Member of Parliament from the Congress Party.
Mahesh Babu’s brother and mother died this year
This year must have been no less than a difficult time for Mahesh Babu. In January this year, his brother Ramesh Babu died. Then in the same year he lost his mother Indira Devi. Indira Devi had an age-related illness. He was undergoing treatment at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. But there was no improvement in health and he said goodbye to this world in September.
