Gorakhpur. On the auspicious occasion of Shardiya Navratri 2022, Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath, in honor of Ashtami date, on Sunday night in the Shaktipeeth of Gorakhnath temple, completed the ritual of special Mahanisha Puja by law and wished for public welfare. CM Yogi Adityanath, who reached Gorakhpur on Sunday evening, will be worshiping at Gorakshabhoomi from Monday till the date of Navami and till the traditional victory procession coming out of Gorakshpeeth on Dashami Tithi.
Yogi Adityanath, who reached Gorakhnath temple on the auspicious occasion of Shardiya Navratri, performed the rituals of Mahanisha Puja in the Shaktipeeth of the temple with full rituals. He prayed to Adishakti for the welfare of the people by performing Havan. On Navami Tithi, after the worship of Goddess Siddhidatri, the ninth form of Goddess Bhagwati in the morning, the Chief Minister will come out of the bench and perform Kanya Pujan. On the day of Navami Tithi, after ascending the Dashami Tithi, he will join the traditional Vijay procession.
Worship of Kalratri, the seventh form of Maa Durga
The rituals of Mahanisha Puja in the Shaktipeeth of Gorakhnath temple started on Sunday night under the leadership of Gorakshapeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. On Sunday night, before the Mahanisha Puja, in the value of Saptami Tithi, the seventh form of Maa Durga, Maa Kalratri was worshiped in the morning and evening session. In the morning session, the rituals were performed by Yogi Kamal Nath, the head priest of Gorakhnath temple.
The ritual lasted more than two hours
In the rituals which lasted more than two hours, Gorakshpeethadhishwar performed Gauri Ganesh worship, Varun worship, Peeth worship, Yantra worship, duly worship of Mother Durga, Shodashopachar worship of Lord Rama-Lakshman-Sita, worship of Lord Krishna and Gomata, Navagraha worship, Vilvadhisthatri Worshiping the deity, worshiping weapons, worshiping the twelfth Jyotirling-Ardhanarishwar and Shiva-Shakti worship, Vatuk Bhairav, Kaal Bhairav, Trishul Parvat worshiped.
Havan done with the wish of Lok Mangal
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cut the barley plant growing on the altar amidst Vedic chants. Traditional sattvik Panch sacrificial offerings of coconut, sugarcane, banana, nutmeg etc. were sacrificed. On the altar of Havan, they worshiped Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra and Agni by invoking them. Thereafter, the havan was performed with the wish of good luck. The entire ritual was completed with the recitation of Durga Saptasati and Vedic mantras. In the end, Prasad was distributed after aarti and apology.
