Prayagraj. The Allahabad High Court said that the liberty of citizens cannot be left to the laxity of the police. The hearing has to be adjourned due to non-delivery of the requested information. Which is interference in the administration of justice. Can’t be forgiven for this.
Instructions to DGP to give proper order on the laxity of CO and Inspector
The High Court has directed the DGP of the state to give appropriate orders in the matter himself. Justice Sanjay Kumar Singh has given this order while hearing the appeal of Vineet Kumar. The petition will be heard on October 13. The High Court has given freedom to Desh Deepak Singh, the jurisdictional High Way Moradabad and Inspector Bhojpur Bipin Kumar, who appeared on the next date, not to appear.
The High Court has directed to send a copy of the order to the DGP through the Registrar General. The appellant says that the victim was admitted to the hospital, but died within a few hours. Earlier, he also gave a statement, which has also been video-recorded. Which is part of the case diary.
The court sought information from the Additional Government Advocate, but despite the information did not give any information, then the court summoned the CO and the investigator. Asked why the information was not given despite the information? Both the officers appeared and gave affidavits, but did not mention why the information was not given despite the information. Due to which the hearing had to be adjourned. It also did not say that the AGA did not send the information.
Court directs DGP to give proper order
The court said that in most of the cases the hearing of bail applications has to be postponed due to non-disclosure of information by the police. On this, the court has directed the DGP to pass an appropriate order.
