If any agency is doing wrong, then immediately tell the government, strict action will be taken.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was reviewing the progress of the Har Ghar Nal Yojana being run in the state under the Jal Jeevan Mission. In this review meeting held through video conferencing, the Chief Minister said that so far we have installed tap connections in 46.72 lakh houses under the Har Ghar Nal Yojana. To achieve the target of supplying pure drinking water to one crore households by the end of this financial year and to all households in the state by March 2024, the process of installation of piped drinking water connections should be further accelerated.
The speed of connection should be increased up to 25 thousand every day.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the speed of installing 13-14 thousand connections every day should be increased to 25 thousand. Trained plumbers should be deployed in every village. It should be ensured that the water connection from the piped tap reaches the courtyard of the house. Those areas which have not been connected with the scheme yet, the District Magistrate should provide land for them.
Improvements expected in Sultanpur, Barabanki, Ayodhya districts
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed that there should be no unreasonable delay in issuing No Objection Certificate at the district or state level. Taking responsibility himself, all the District Magistrates should complete the initial processes including preparation of DPR expeditiously. Keep physical inspection of the work done. Improvement is expected in districts like Sultanpur, Barabanki, Sambhal, Ayodhya etc.
Get the work done by the District Magistrate on time
CM Yogi said that monthly targets have been given to all the districts to start them by giving tap connections in the houses. Districts like Sitapur, Prayagraj, Aligarh, Shahjahanpur etc. will have to expedite the work. The District Magistrate should complete this target on time. Increase human resources if needed. There should not be unnecessary delay in electricity connection for piped drinking water in Vindhya-Bundelkhand. Namami Gange Department and Energy Department should complete this work on time with mutual coordination. The villages saturated with Jal Jeevan Mission should also be verified with transparency from the Village Water Committees.
Consider the use of Chambal water in Aligarh-Agra divisions
The Chief Minister directed to consider using the water of Chambal river instead of the water of Lower Ganga Canal for drinking water in Aligarh and Agra divisions. Said that there is enough water in Chambal. This water is sweet too. Its practicality should be tested by sending a team of technical experts. Said that we have to provide pure drinking water to 97 thousand villages. In such a situation, an action plan for all 97000 villages should be prepared.
