Lucknow. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the investigation of irregularities in the transfers in the Health and Public Works Department has started. High level committees constituted to investigate the transfers in both the departments have started their work.
Both the committees have summoned the files and records related to the transfers in the respective departments. It is expected that the inquiry committees will examine the files and submit their report to the Chief Minister’s Office on Thursday. About 2500 doctors of the Provincial Medical Services Cadre have been transferred in the Health Department. Of these, there were complaints regarding more than 450 transfers.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, who is holding the responsibility of Medical and Health Department, had written a letter to Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of the department, seeking clarification from him in this regard. After the matter caught fire, the Chief Minister had directed to constitute a three-member inquiry committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra to investigate the irregularities in the transfers of doctors.
The committee has started investigation work after summoning files from the health department. On the other hand, a two-member committee of Agriculture Production Commissioner Manoj Kumar Singh and Additional Chief Secretary Excise Sanjay Bhoosreddy has also started work to investigate the irregularities in the transfers of engineers of the Public Works Department. The committee has called for all the files related to the transfers from the Public Works Headquarters and is examining them.
The investigation of the scam in the Animal Husbandry Department also progressed: In the Animal Husbandry Department, the investigation of the scam of buying substandard medicines for animals and hospital materials at high prices is also progressing. A two-member committee of Agriculture Production Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture Dr. Devesh Chaturvedi has been constituted to investigate this scam of about Rs 60 crore. The inquiry committee has summoned the files related to the Animal Husbandry Department.
