Mumbai: IPL franchise The Mumbai Indians have signed South African wicket-keeper batsman Tristan Stubbs as a substitute for left-arm pacer Tymal Mills for the remainder of the IPL. Mills was ruled out of the tournament with an ankle injury, and now Stubbs has been replaced in the squad. The 21-year-old Stubbs has been added by the Mumbai team for Rs 20 lakh. Stubbs has played 17 T20 matches so far and scored 506 runs at an impressive strike rate of 157.14. This 21-year-old player has also scored three half-centuries during this period.
Tymal Mills played five matches for the Mumbai Indians in the 15th season of the IPL before getting injured. In these matches, he took a total of 6 wickets for the team, and his economy rate was 9.85. At the same time, his best bowling this season was 3 wickets for 354 runs.
