Dehradun: Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya has questioned cabinet minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat’s post on internet media. He has objected to the mention of the meeting of the Council of Ministers in the presence of the party’s National General Secretary Organization BL Santosh in the BJP state office. He has demanded the Chief Minister to clarify the situation on this meeting.
He said that the Higher Education Minister has written on his Facebook page that BJP’s National Organization Minister BL Santosh and office bearers participated in the meeting of the Council of Ministers. Among these office-bearers are Uttarakhand in-charge and co-in-charge who attended the meeting along with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Uttarakhand cabinet.
The time has come for ‘what the BJP does, it is the constitution’.
Arya said that these office bearers have not taken oath as ministers. Therefore it is not a part of the Council of Ministers. Then how can a meeting of the Council of Ministers be held in the state office? Said that the Minister has clearly written about the Council of Ministers of the State Governments in Article 163 and 164 of the Constitution of India. Or ‘what the BJP does, the constitution is the one’ time has come.
All of you have taken the oath of office and secrecy as mentioned in the Constitution, you will honor it. All you ministers including the Chief Minister are bound by the principle of community responsibility. You cannot flout the Constitution with an open declaration.
