In all the branches of technical universities and government engineering colleges of Uttar Pradesh, girls belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) will get education for just one rupee. Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel has said that such a proposal is being prepared. . All the colleges will bear the expenses on this from their own personal sources. International level pharmaceutical and bioengineering research center will be established in the state within three months.
Minister Ashish Patel said in a departmental review meeting in his office room on Friday that empowerment of women is necessary to realize the dream of self-reliant India. He directed the officials to postpone the recruitment process already going on in the government engineering colleges and appoint a new committee.
Minister Ashish Patel said that quality education would be made available in the state itself to stop migration for education to other states. He also directed for the ranking of engineering colleges. He also stressed on making the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Director accountable.
Instructions have been given to implement biometric attendance in technical education institutions to ensure the attendance of teachers for better studies. By constituting a committee of Vice Chancellor and a director of all the three technical universities of the state, asked to make all the selection process transparent and rule-compliant. All engineering colleges and technical universities should prepare an action plan for the next five years.
He instructed the universities to establish a network of technical education alumni, who establish contact with all the alumni located in the country and abroad and establish a mentorship and support system with them. Principal Secretary Amrit Abhijat stressed on getting international cooperation in the field of technical education and asked to take immediate action on the instructions of the Chief Minister to prepare and implement new courses on mapping. Special Secretary Sunil Kumar Choudhary, Vice Chancellors and Directors of all the three Universities and Government Engineering Colleges of Technical Education Department were present in the meeting.
