The encounter took place in Hasanganj area around 4 am. Prize crook Rahul Singh was also wanted in the Aliganj jewelers robbery case. During the robbery, he shot and killed the employee. When the police surrounded him in Lucknow this morning, he started firing. Rahul Singh was injured in firing from both the sides. The rogue has been admitted to the hospital by the police, where he died.
According to Inspector Aliganj Dharmendra Singh Yadav, Nikhil Agarwal has a shop in the name of Tirupati Jewelers in Kapurthala Aliganj Sector-B. On the morning of 8 December 2021, Nikhil, employee Shravan Kumar and two women employees were present in the shop. At the same time, the miscreants had entered the shop in a hurry. The miscreants armed with weapons robbed the jewellery. While running away, Shravan had caught a miscreant. The one who shot Shravan in the stomach with a weapon. which resulted in the death of the employee.
According to the inspector, Rahul, a resident of Shahjahanpur, Jalalabad, was seen in the CC footage. At the same time, Honey Singh and Gudamba resident Ravi Kumar Verma were arrested by the police. Whoever confirmed Rahul’s firing. Meanwhile, the police had raided other districts apart from Shahjahanpur to find Rahul. But there was no success.
On Thursday night, information was received about the miscreant coming to Aliganj. Based on which the teams were checking. The suspect was seen on reaching near Hasanganj Bandha Road. Whose hulia was getting from Rahul Singh. On this the soldiers tried to stop the suspect. But the miscreant opened fire on the police team. The police also retaliated. In which Rahul Singh was killed after being shot. According to the inspector, the police have recovered a pistol from the spot.
