Saharanpur: In Chhutmalpur of Saharanpur, around 10 pm on Saturday night, a car-riding doctor committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed revolver in the car in front of a hotel located near Chamarikheda toll plaza. Police has sent the body for post-mortem.

Police said that Dr Rakesh Kumar Singh, a resident of Shamli, and his wife had stopped at a restaurant near Chamarikheda toll plaza on their way to Dehradun. Talks continued between the two for a long time. In the CCTV footage, he is sometimes seen sitting in the car and sometimes walking downstairs. Meanwhile, the wife went to the bathroom, when the husband shot himself with his licensed weapon. Due to which he died on the spot.
Police is looking for the reason of suicide
Hearing the sound of gunshots, a crowd gathered at the spot. The outpost police, located a short distance from the spot, also reached the spot. After interrogating the wife, the police is assuming that there was a rift between the husband and wife over some issue. According to the police, the deceased Dr Rakesh Kumar was working in a nursing home on Budhana Road in Shamli. Police have taken the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem and the reason behind the incident is being investigated.
Dr. RP Singh was a happy person
MBBS MD (ENT) Dr. RP Singh was running a clinic on Budhana Road, Shamli for more than 20 years. He was originally a resident of Meerut village Dhanju (near Pallavapuram) and his last rites would be performed in the village itself. IMA Shamli President Dr. Akbar Khan told that Dr. RP Singh was a very happy person. They had met at a wedding on Friday and there was no tension on their face from anywhere. Like before, he was joking. Now whether there was such a situation that he had to die, there is no information about it yet. The last rites have been reported in Dhanju village at 3 pm.
